Fortune International makes two senior-level appointments

Bensenville, Illinois, U.S.A.-based Fortune International announced it has appointed two senior executives in procurement and supply chain logistics.

The company has named Matthew Harris its new chief procurement and supply chain officer and John Pollock its new senior vice president of procurement. Harris will be based at Fortune’s headquarters in Bensenville and will report to Fortune International President and CEO Sean O’Scannlain. Pollock will be based in Houston, Texas, U.S.A., and will focus on Fortune’s domestic shrimp purchasing and logistics and will report to Harris.

“Bringing Matthew and John onboard are pivotal hires in strengthening our procurement and supply chain teams and keeping up with Fortune’s incredible growth,” O’Scannlain said. “With their deep expertise in procurement, logistics, and distribution, we will be able to continue to develop our brand with leading retailers and restaurants, streamline our purchasing, and improve the efficiency of our logistics and supply chains. We welcome both to our growing Fortune family.”

Prior to joining Fortune, Harris was the vice president of purchasing at The Chef’s Warehouse, a specialty food distributor. Prior to that, he was the vice president of supply chain at Sandridge Food Corporation, and he also spend 11 years at Gordon Food Service.

Pollock joins Fortune from McLane Global, where he served as vice president of global sourcing. Prior to that, he spend 20 years at Sysco Corporation.

On 31 March, Fortune announced its acquisition of D’Artagnan, continuing its acquisition strategy. According to Fortune, it has acquired 13 companies since launching its acquisition strategy in 2012.
