German aquafeed-ingredients firm changes name

Diana Aqua, a business unit of Symrise Taste, Nutrition, and Health specializing in the production of functional ingredients and palatability-enhancers that help aquafeed manufacturers to develop high performance feeds, has confirmed it has begun operating under new name, Symrise Aqua Feed.

In a press release, the Holzminden, Germany-headquartered company said the rebranding reflects both the evolution of the company and its vision for the future.

Since becoming part of Symrise AG in 2014, the segment has benefited from the resources and name-brand recognition of Symrise, and the company said it expects these factors to continue to help it open additional markets moving forward.

Symrise Aqua Feed Marketing and Strategic Development Director Vincent Percier said the change of name follows on from changes made to its range and product names portfolio in 2021. Those alterations were made for more clarity and simplification, he said.

“In the beginning of 2022, we continue our journey by becoming Symrise Aqua Feed. This represents the next step toward simplicity and easier understanding of our identity. Our name change reflects our dedication to the aquafeed industry and the endorsement of Symrise, a global brand carrying great visibility, great reputation and strength,” he said.

In addition to the name change, the rebrand includes a new logo and a website relaunch.

The website, which will go online in the coming months, will showcase a product range that includes Extrapal, Actipal, and Nutri, and will also seek to provide a greater level of communication for existing and prospective clients.

In 2021, Symrise achieved sales of EUR 3.8 billion (USD 4.1 billion). The group is represented by more than 100 locations across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the United States and Latin America. Supplying fragrances, flavors, food, nutrition, and cosmetic ingredients.
