A Canadian seafood supplier is recalling salmon nuggets across the country due to possible listeria contamination.
Delta Pacific Seafood Ltd. in Delta, British Columbia, Canada is recalling its Western Family brand of Original Wild Sockeye Smoked Salmon Nuggets from the marketplace due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The 150-gram packages were distributed to retailers in Alberta and British Columbia, and possibly nationwide, according to a Canadian Food Inspection Agency press release.
There have been no illnesses reported from the recalled salmon nuggets, according to CFIA.
CFIA “is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings,” the agency said.
