Both Red Lobster and Long John Silver’s are featuring shrimp in new summer seafood promotions.
Orlando, Florida, U.S.A.-based Red Lobster, which operates more than 700 restaurants, is launching a new BBQ Bacon Grilled Shrimp dish as part of the Summerfest promotion, which is running for a limited time, the restaurant chain said in a press release.
The two fire-grilled shrimp skewers are glazed with sweet and smoky BBQ sauce and topped with crispy bacon and green onions, then served over orzo with a choice of one side. It can be ordered as part of Red Lobster’s “3 Courses for USD 18.99 (EUR 18.00)”, when paired with a soup or salad and individual starter.
Red Argentinian Shrimp Skewers, which are fire-grilled and served over orzo and a choice of two sides, are also included in Seafood Summerfest.
Lobster is highlighted in the restaurant’s chain “Steak and Lobster” dish, which includes a Maine lobster tail and New York strip steak, served with a choice of two sides. Red Lobster is also featuring a one-and-a-quarter-pound Maine lobster, available steamed or stuffed and served with a choice of two sides.
Meanwhile, Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A.-based Long John Silver’s is launching Coconut Popcorn Shrimp, the restaurant chain said in a press release.
Customers can order the new shrimp in a Snackbox or Combo Fish and Coconut Popcorn Shrimp Platter, or USD 10.00 (EUR 10.48) Sea-Share or Family Feast.
“We are always looking for ways to provide exciting flavors and value to our guests. With our new Coconut Popcorn Shrimp, guests can set sail on a tropical flavor adventure without breaking their treasure chest,” LJS Senior Vice President of Marketing and Innovation Christopher Caudill said.
LJS is inviting customers to Celebrate National Coconut Day on 26 June with the offer of a free Coconut Popcorn Shrimp Snackbox with a USD 10.00 purchase through its website for pick-up.
Red Lobster and Long John Silver’s are just two of numerous U.S. restaurant chains touting seafood specials to shore up summer sales.
Denver, Colorado, U.S.A.-based Taco del Mar, for example, is bringing back its annual summer Lobster Taco offerings. Customers can choose from its Classic Lobster Taco, served with Baja white sauce and pico de gallo, or its Tropical Lobster Taco, served with mango salsa and cilantro lime vinaigrette.
“We are always drawing inspiration from coastal flavors, and we enjoy seeing guests embrace those flavors, especially when the temperature starts rising,” Taco del Mar Vice President of Culinary Innovation Mike Gieseman said in a press release.
Cheyenne, Wyoming-based Taco John’s is offering a three for USD 6.00 (EUR 5.71) deal on its new Mango Shrimp Street Tacos. The limited-time offering includes crispy shrimp, mango pico de gallo, chimichurri sour cream, and lettuce, wrapped in a soft corn-flour blend tortilla.
“The flavor-packed Mango Shrimp Street Tacos are the perfect menu item for those with an adventurous palate who crave a bold, elevated experience all at an incredible value,” Taco John’s said in a press release.
