Sea Watch International, primarily known for its clam products, recently launched a line of appetizer and snack bites.
The new Crispy Bite, packed under the American Original snacks and appetizers brand, is “the culmination of using our capabilities to produce unique product offerings to address the growth in small plates, broader appetizer offerings, and portable foods,” Sea Watch said.
The new snacks are “perfect for the grab and go menu,” Sea Watch said. “They are craveable, deliverable, shareable, portable, unique, and kid- and car-friendly.”
Crispy Bite flavors include: Cheeseburger Patty with Pickles, Chicken Tortilla, Clam Casino and Bacon, Jalapeno Macaroni & Cheese. Sea Watch said it is also now capable of producing customized Crispy Bite formulas for customers.
The Easton, Maryland, U.S.A.-based processor has been producing value-added products featuring clams as the primary protein since 1978. In order to use other proteins, its Easton plant had to be certified to produce products following U.S. Department of Agriculture inspection.
“With the advancement of our capabilities, new opportunities have arisen to utilize other proteins in value-added products,” the company said in a press release.
With the approval, the company said it has plans to eventually expand beyond seafood to offer other types of meats and plant-based value-added items.
