SeaPak launches new "high-protein snack" product for seafood lovers

SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co. is adding SeaPak Calamari with tomato romano sauce to its lineup of frozen seafood products. The product is launching at select Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, and Tops stores across the United States.

“Seafood lovers have been waiting for this for a long time,” said Kristen Beadon, director of marketing for SeaPak, in a press release. “For years, our research has shown consumers are interested in convenient, restaurant-quality seafood options that they can prepare and enjoy at home, so we can’t wait for them to try our new SeaPak Calamari!”

SeaPak is timing the launch with the outdoor entertaining season, and says it can be utilized as a “hassle-free appetizer or high-protein snack,” SeaPak said.

The Calamari retails for a suggested USD 8.99 (EUR 8.02) per package.

SeaPak, known for its breaded shrimp products, launched a new line in March via a partnership with Budweiser, including: SeaPak Budweiser Beer Battered Shrimp, SeaPak Budweiser Beer Battered Cod, and SeaPak Budweiser Beer Battered Crab Poppers.
