The Kingfish Company is launching a new retail product with the largest retailer in The Netherlands, Albert Heijn.
The Kats, The Netherlands-based company introduced MAP skin-off deboned portions of its yellowtail kingfish with Albert Heijn during the week of 28 June. The products are available online, as well as in the retailer’s more than 300 stores.
“It is certified by Aquaculture Stewardship Council and sets a new bar in sustainable, non-GMO, and antibiotics-free, high-quality retail-ready seafood,” The Kingfish Company said in a press release.
The company intends to focus on retail in 2021, and is offering a suite of high-spec, retail-ready products, including skinless, boneless, fixed weight individually vacuum-packed and MAP portions, both fresh and sashimi-grade frozen.
“The full line of loin/belly/tail fixed weight retail ready portions is now available, with additional value-added retail-ready products in advanced development,” the firm said.
