RPC Saeplast launches upgraded container for transporting seafood stocks

RPC Saeplast has launched an upgraded version of its container and lid for harvesting and transporting fish stocks, the developer announced on 27 June.

The Sæplast DXS335 1,000-liter PUR container has received an upgrade to make it more compact with streamlined functioning and improved handling, the company explained in a press release. A reusable cold chain material handling container, the unit has been “specifically designed for the seafood industry and is manufactured using a 100 [percent] food-grade polyethylene double wall shell with a polyurethane insulation core,” Sæplast explained.

With its enhancements, DXS335 is primed to continue delivering ideal storage conditions that maintain the freshness and quality of species like shrimp, herring, bait, and more. The container, once filled with a slurry ice mix, can keep fish at the correct temperature throughout its processing journey, from storage to transportation, Sæplast said.

The DXS335 container is 122 centimeters in length and 109 centimeters high. It is available with a variety of tracking options including barcodes, QR codes, and RFID technology.

“As with all Sæplast products, the container can be branded through specialized colors and with the incorporation of logos for ease of identification,” according to Sæplast.
