The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is planning to purchase several different fish products for the National School Lunch Program and other federal food nutrition assistance programs.
In a pre-solicitation notice, the agency said it would buy canned tuna, catfish fillets, breaded catfish strips, bulk Alaska pollock, Alaska pollock fillets, Alaska pollock breaded frozen fish sticks, wild frozen salmon fillets, and canned pink salmon.
USDA has not yet announced the amount of each seafood item it will be purchasing.
