St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada-based seafood-processing company Quinlan Brothers has partnered with Reykjavík, Iceland-based seafood software provider Wisefish to use the latter’s product suite to modernize operations and strengthen traceability.
According to Wisefish, Quinlan Brothers will “gain enhanced visibility across its operations” through its platform, which is designed to support production, inventory, and distribution.
“Implementing Wisefish is a strong step toward transformational change,” Quinlan Brothers Chief Financial Officer Candace Seymour said. “Wisefish stood out because it reflects the real financial and operational complexity of seafood. It will give us clearer insight into margins and costs, simplify day-to-day operations, and help us manage traceability in line with Canadian and European standards. Having real-time access to reliable operational data is critical. We’re looking forward to minimizing manual work and gaining an even more complete view of our value chain as our business grows.”
Wisefish added that its platform “is designed to reduce fragmentation and improve decision-making,” helping seafood companies manage production, sales, and logistics through an integrated overview of costs, traceability, and seafood operations.
Wisefish said the Quinlan Brothers’ location in Canada will also help the Icelandic company further implant itself in North American markets.
