U.S. restaurant chain Red Lobster is looking to provide more value to diners this October, adding a new flavor to its Endless Shrimp promotion, a late night happy hour, and USD 1.00 (EUR 0.90) appetizers for a limited time.
Additionally, kids in costume will eat free for every full-price adult dinner entrée purchased when families dine in from 30 October to 1 November.
"We want guests to have more reasons to say yes to Red Lobster when they're getting together," Red Lobster Chief Marketing Officer Andy Pitts said in a release. "This October, that means more value and choice, with some fun built in, all centered on the food, flavor, and hospitality they expect from us."
The Orlando, Florida, U.S.A.-based operator of around 545 restaurants is still running its popular Endless Shrimp promotion for USD 24.99 (EUR 22) and added a new flavor to the deal: Old Bay Seasoned Scampi.
Endless Shrimp allows guests to mix and match six flavors and eat as much shrimp as they like, served with their choice of one side and Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Entrées in the deal include Garlic Bread-Crusted Shrimp, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp, and Walt's Favorite Shrimp.
Red Lobster also added a Late Night Happy Hour Monday through Friday at participating locations, which lasts from 9 p.m. to close and is running in addition to Red Lobster's traditional weekday Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m.
In the Late Night Happy Hour, guests can enjoy USD 6.00 (EUR 5.40) signature cocktails, wine, and beer and USD 2.00 (EUR 1.80) off select starters later in the evening.
The value promotions come as the restaurant firm named Pitts as its new chief marketing officer and promoted Jon Tryzbiak from vice president of IT to chief information officer.
“The appointments further strengthen Red Lobster's executive team, adding critical marketing and technology leadership for the company's next phase of growth,” the company said in a release.
Pitts has led Red Lobster's marketing efforts as interim chief marketing officer since January of this year, helping drive the company's digital transformation and the launch of Red Lobster Nation, a reimagined loyalty program designed to deepen guest engagement and give members more choice in how they interact with the brand and earn rewards.
He brings nearly two decades of restaurant marketing experience, having worked with such brands as Wingstop, Smoothie King, Fogo de Chão, and Dairy Queen.
Tryzbiak, meanwhile, has brought greater focus on how the company prioritizes and delivers technology across the organization since he joined earlier this year, with an emphasis on simplification and stronger execution, Red Lobster said.
He brings nearly 20 years of technology experience, including roles with Brinker International, FB Society, Checkers & Rally's, Bloomin' Brands, and Landry's.
Building for long-term growth, Red Lobster CEO Damola Adamolekun said it’s important to have “leaders who can strengthen both how we connect with our guests and how we enable our restaurants and teams.”
“Andy has spent his career helping restaurant brands grow and adapt while staying true to what guests already love, and his years as a strategic agency partner to Red Lobster give him a deep understanding of this brand and our guests,” he said. “[Tryzbiak has] already made a meaningful impact advancing the technology, data, and systems that support our restaurants and teams. With Andy and Jon in these leadership roles, we're better positioned to evolve the brand with greater focus, cohesion, and discipline.”
