Antarctica Advisors International opens office in Chile

Antarctica Advisors International Co. has opened a new office in Santiago, Chile.

The company, with headquarters in Miami, Fla., is an independent strategic and financial advisory firm focused on transactional services in the food industry.

The new office in Santiago will support the company’s growth in South America and allow the firm to better service its corporate clients in the region, according to a press release.

“The opening of our new office in Santiago, Chile significantly strengthens and expands our firm’s capabilities in South America,” Antarctica Advisors manager partner Ignacio Kleiman said.

The Chile office will be headed by Fernando Araya, the former general manager of Rabobank in Chile. At Rabobank, Araya led the bank’s local corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions team.

According to the release, Antarctica Advisors maintains a highly specialized seafood industry mergers and acquisitions practice and its clients have included Camanchaca, AquaChile, Congelados Pacifico, Cooke Aquaculture, Nippon Suissan and Robinson Crusoe.
