Clean Seas Loses Equipment in Brushfire

Australian tuna farmer Clean Seas Tuna lost feed and equipment in a brushfire Tuesday in Port Lincoln, reported the Asia Pulse.

Sea cages, nets and pellet feed were destroyed along with engineering equipment and other contents of the company’s storage and engineering shed.

Clean Seas does not expect the losses will affect fish growth or have any financial impact this year.

The company’s other two facilities, in Arno Bay and Fitzgerald Bay, have equipment available for immediate use.

No one was injured in the fire.
