Clear Springs says goodbye to 18-year company veteran, names new VP of Sales

Effective 1 June, Kurt Myers (pictured) will take over as the new executive vice president of sales, marketing and global supply chain development for Idaho-based aquaculture company Clear Springs Foods.

Myers will assume the role from Don Riffle, who is officially retiring in November 2016 after many years with the company.

“Don Riffle has played a key role in our business over the past 18 years,” said Clear Springs President and CEO Larry Cope. “I have asked Don to devote his last six months of employment focused on the sales and marketing transition under different management and the frozen foodservice segment of our business. Don will continue to report to me during this transition. We deeply appreciate Don Riffle’s involvement in this process, his continued optimism, energy, commitment to our customers and to growing our business.”

Myers’ promotion will have him assume full responsibility of future Clear Springs sales and marketing initiatives and the sales and marketing staff beginning next month. A strategic thinker with 20 years in the food industry serving in a variety of sales, marketing and operational roles, Myers moves up in the ranks after nearly a year with the company.

“[Myers] possesses strong technical skills and understands the generation of consumers the company will be marketing to in the future,” Cope said. “Kurt will work closely with our sales and operating groups to assure that Clear Springs continues to provide excellent products and service to our customers.”
