Macro-economist, geopolitical finance expert, and best-selling author Nomi Prins will deliver the keynote address at the 2025 Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America, which will run from 16 to 18 March at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

The keynote address, titled “Riding the Waves: Navigating Economic, Energy, and Trade Policies Impacting the Seafood Industry in 2025,” will provide an economic outlook for the seafood industry and a tailored discussion on a number of topics – including tariff policies and regulations and their impacts on the North American and global supply chains, energy prices, AI, traceability, sustainability, and more, event organizer Diversified said. [Editor’s note: Diversified also owns and operates SeafoodSource.]

Prins brings her experience from multiple key positions she held on Wall Street – including as a managing director at Goldman Sachs, as a senior managing director at Bear Stearns, as a strategist at Lehman Brothers, and as an analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank. Her expertise has been tapped by multiple U.S. government entities, including as an expert witness to the U.S. Senate and as an advisor to government officials on matters related to finance, economics, banking and infrastructure, and energy development financing.

Prins has also authored seven books, including “Collusion,” “All the Presidents’ Bankers,” and “Permanent Distortion.” Her articles have been featured in Fortune, Forbes, the Guardian, the New York Times, and the Nation, and she is a regular guest on national media outlets including CNBC, C-SPAN, BBC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox Business, and Bloomberg.

“Dr. Prins’ background as a Wall Street executive and successful author with a deep knowledge of finance, economics, and politics makes her a great addition to our event as keynote speaker,” Diversified Vice President of Seafood Wyner Courmont said. “Dr. Prins is highly effective in tailoring her discussions for diverse audiences, and we are thrilled to have her unique viewpoint on the complex topics impacting the seafood industry.”

Diversified said the keynote address will take place at 11:15 a.m. EST on 16 March in Room 153CB and is open to all Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America attendees with a badge.
