FISA introduces new netting product into African market

Peruvian fishing net production firm Fibras Industriales S.A. (FISA) will introduce its newest product, the Supra HDPE, into Africa during the World Aquaculture 2017 conference, taking place 26 to 30 June, the company announced.

FISA previously introduced the product into other continental markets at Seafood Expo North America in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. in March and at Seafood Expo Global in Brussels, Belgium in April. It is using the World Aquaculture 2017 conference, taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, as the base for its launch on the African continent.

“Extremely fast acceptance of this product in the American continent was followed by great interest on the part of European customers following Seafood Expo Global in Brussels and Atlantic Fair in Faroe Islands,” FISA Commercial Director Yoni Radzinski said in a press release.

Radzinski said he is convinced fishing companies in Africa will be in the Supra netting.

“Supra is a high-end product that was launched less than six months ago and sales are greatly surpassing our expectations, with new customers already showing interest from totally new markets and for uses we had not even though of initially,” he said.
