Greenlaw Arrested by Canadian Fisheries Officials

Famed Maine fisherman Linda Greenlaw was arrested by Canadian fisheries officers last week for allegedly fishing in Canadian waters.

Greenlaw, author of "The Hungry Ocean" and "All Fishermen are Liars," was portrayed in Sebastian Junger's novel and later movie "The Perfect Storm" as the last person to have contact with Massachusetts swordfish boat Andrea Gail.

A film crew was on Greenlaw's boat, the Sea Hawk, filming an upcoming NBC television series when it was boarded by fisheries officials on Tuesday.

Greenlaw faced a swarm of media on Friday when she was led handcuffed into a Newfoundland court to face charges. She was released on $10,000 bail and is due back in court Oct. 27.
