Growth of EU shrimp imports slowed in September but remain up

European Union imports of shrimp are still up year over year but have slowed in comparison to the very strong growth seen earlier in the year, ShrimpInsights recently reported.

Ecuador remained the top supplier of shrimp to the E.U. in September,  bringing its exports from January through September to 181,777 metric tons (MT), a 36 percent year-over-year increase.  In September, Ecuadorian shrimp exports to the E.U. totaled 21,206 MT, a 33 percent increase from the same month last year.  Though…
