IBSS New Products Competition Finalists Announced

Ten finalists for the International Boston Seafood Show's 2008 New Products Competition have been announced. Awards are given at the show for best retail and foodservice products during the annual event.

The six finalists in the retail category are: The Chef Papillote Entree Mediterranean Salmon from Amazing Food Manufacturing; Smokey Lobster Heat and Serve Dip from Inland Market Premium Foods; Nantucket Supreme Miso Crusted Salmon with Whole Grain Noodles from Mar-Lees Seafood; Morey's Wild Alaskan Party Pack from Morey's Seafood International; Sea Choice Baja Style Rockfish Palate Perfect Entrée from Ocean Beauty Seafoods; SeaPak's Artichoke Pesto Tilapia; and Fluffed and Stuffed Maine Lobster Tail from Shucks Maine Lobster.

The four foodservice finalists are: The Chef Papillote Entrée Mediterranean Salmon from Amazing Food Manufacturing; Mexican Style Shrimp Ceviche from Icelandic USA; Perfectly Seasoned Fish Orange Ginger Mahi from Phillips Foods; and Poach in Pouch Maine Lobster from Shucks Maine Lobster.

Judges will evaluate the finalists' products on Sunday, Feb. 24 and the winners will be announced that day at 3:30 p.m. at the Culinary Demonstration Theater on the show floor.
