Icelandic firm Nordvik has purchased FishPartners France from Kennemervis Group.
Nordvik, owned by Gudmundur Stefansson, operates subsidiary Novo Food, a seafood sales and marketing company based in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. The company will combine the operations of FishPartners France and Novo Food, according to a press release.
As part of the agreement, Novo Food will partner with Kennemervis, a seafood processor and distributor based in Spakenburg, The Netherlands, to allow Novo Food to continue to sell and distribute spoked seafood products from FishPartners’ smokehouse in Urk, in the central Netherlands.
“We are looking forward to a succesful partnership with Novofood and an extension of our joint business,” Kennemervis CEO Eugène Scholten and FishPartners Director Peter Frans Koelewijn said in a press release.
As a result of the deal, FishPartners France Manager David Dutriaux and all staff working at FishPartners’ office in Boulogne-sur-Mer will join the Norvik/Novofood organization.
“We want to thank David for his endless energy and contribution to the success of the Kennemervis Group in general and Fishpartners France specifically. We wish him and his team a great future with Novo Food,” Scholten and Koelewijn said.
