J. Sykes & Sons, an independent seafood supplier based in Manchester, England, is bringing its mixed-pallet and full-container array of frozen seafood products to Hong Kong for this year’s Seafood Expo Asia, to be held on 6 to 8 September.
The company, which is family-run and got its start in 1862, supplies seafood to customers within the foodservice, wholesale, retail, merchant and processing realms; it manufacturers product out of facilities in Liverpool and elsewhere within the United Kingdom. J. Sykes & Sons’ Liverpool manufacturing facility recently underwent significant expansion to help it meet the Global Aquaculture Alliance’s Best Aquaculture Standards for shrimp, something the company is proud of and looks to discuss at the upcoming exposition.
“Arctic Royal is Sykes’ long serving, flagship brand and has been successful throughout the U.K. in a number of different food sectors,” the company said in a press release. “Products in the Arctic Royal range have been sourced from over 40 countries, however the large majority of these are packed to perfection in the U.K., bringing high-quality and innovative concepts together.”
Products sold by J. Sykes & Sons include the full fish variety, as well as value-added and coated prawns. The company hopes to further expand into new overseas markets in the future, it said.
“With our strong supply chain and growing customer base, expanding our traditionally British brand to overseas markets was the next clear decision for Sykes. Our flexibility in pack size, mixed-pallet capabilities and container quantities is attractive to a range of customers in the export market,” the company said in a release.
