Lerøy’s new salmon processing facility to feature BAADER’s latest ‘money maker’ technology

Norwegian Atlantic salmon producer Lerøy Midt has signed a contract with prominent processing equipment company BAADER, which will see to the furnishing Lerøy’s new salmon processing factory in Jøsnøya on Hitra with a series of new gutting machines.

The new salmon factory, which is slated to open in May 2018, will feature several new BAADER 144 Gutting Machines in combination with the new Speed Feed System, BAADER 1570, thanks to the contract.

"The new BAADER 144 Gutting Machine together with the BAADER 1570 Speed Feed System will be our ‘money maker’ due to a tremendous increase of efficiency,” said Lerøy Midt Production Director Frode Arntsen of the equipment in a new release. “It is the best solution for a perfect and clean princess-cut at a revolutionary speed ever. A perfect final product starts with a perfect gutting. We have long good relationship with BAADER and very good experience with their products and service."

As a means to maintain the highest standards, Lerøy is looking to invest in the latest innovative technologies, something BAADER specializes in, according to the company. BAADER’s Salmon Gutting Solution will be a core component to the company’s new facility, Lerøy concluded.
