Darrell Pardy, president and co-founder of Maine-based Bristol Seafood, recently announced David Roux, originally of Lewiston, Maine, made a substantial investment in the company.
“This investment will further enhance our ability to deliver safe and high quality sustainable seafood to our customers. The new capital will be used to expand our product line, open a second production facility in southern Maine, and grow our distribution system,” said Pardy.
“I am excited to be working with the Bristol management team. We look forward to growing the business and our employee base in Maine,” said Roux.
Co-founder Ray Swenton will be focusing his efforts as chairman on industry and government relations for the company. Swenton serves on committees with the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, The Portland Fish Pier Authority, Department of Marine Resources and is the president of the Portland Fish Exchange.
“Mr. Roux will be an active participant on the company’s Board of Directors,” said Pardy. “Ray and I look forward to this new partnership. This is very exciting for our customers, employees and suppliers.”
