Scallop processor Mar-Lees Seafood of New Bedford, Mass., has received a $4.1 million state loan to help it expand and create 53 jobs.
The company will use the loan, provided by finance agent MassDevelopment, to complete renovations to a 62,000 square foot building in New Bedford it originally purchased in 2006.
Mar-Lees Seafood's products are produced under either private label or as the company's Cape Way or Nantucket Supreme brands.
