Morpol ASA has named John-Paul McGinley, its former COO, to replace the resigning Jerzy Malek as CEO of the Norwegian company.
Malek has already announced his resignation, effective 28 February. Morpol’s board of directors announced its decision to promote McGinley this week.
“Mr. John-Paul McGinley has extensive knowledge of the company and its operations having worked in various positions in the Morpol group since 2007,” the company said in a release announcing McGinley’s appointment. “He also has extensive experience in administrative, operational and commercial roles in listed companies in the salmon sector, firstly in the Netherlands with Nutreco (2001–2004) and later in the Netherlands and Poland with Marine Harvest ASA (2004–2007).”
McGinley will officially begin as CEO on 1 March.
