More sentenced in Trident fraud case

A Kodiak man and a Texas woman were sentenced 4 June in U.S. District Court in Anchorage for their role in embezzling over half a million dollars from Trident Seafoods.

Chief U.S. District Judge Ralph Beistline sentenced Jeremy Smith of Kodiak to 28 months in prison for his role in aiding Isairis Wolfe in embezzling USD 128,400 from the seafood processing company from January 2008 through August 2010.

Beistline also sentenced Valerie Olivares, of Corpus Christi, Texas to eight months in prison for her role in aiding Wolfe in embezzling USD 45,000 from Trident.
