The Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) has changed its name to the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC), effective 1 January.
The name change is due to the organization’s need to reflect its role as a generic marker for the whole Norwegian seafood industry. The change reflects the work of the organization not only within Norway’s seafood industry, but also its work in the international domestic market.
“Our main activities continue as generic marketing, market information, market access, communication and issues management,” said Terje Martinussen, the council’s CEO. “The name is new, but the activities, the people and the engagement for seafood from Norway is kept at the same high level.”
