While fishery forecasts are calling for as much as a 47 percent decrease from last year's historic season, one local plant manager says it is going to be a very big year for his company.
"This is an important year for Ocean Beauty. We are entering new territory," said plant manager Michael Clutter. "We are investing in Cordova at a level that is worthy of the long-term and that is a vote of confidence for the region."
Clutter outlined recent moves by the company including purchase of land for plant expansion and investment in a new state-of-the-art tunnel freezer that will significantly increase processing capacity.
