Pacific Seafood opens operations in Chile

Portland, Ore.-based Pacific Seafood Group has announced the opening of an operation in Santiago, Chile.

Former Camanchaca president, Gustavo Ross (pictured), has joined and formed the new company, Pacific Seafood—Chile, that will directly source marine products to more than 6,500 foodservice and retail customers.

“We look forward to improving relationships with our current Chilean and South American vendors and expanding our supply by creating a more hands on approach to the opportunities in South America,” said Frank Dulcich, Pacific Seafood president and CEO. “We will expand our quality assurance and product sourcing by partnering with Gustavo, who has expansive experience and relationships in the region.

“In addition to on-sire QA inspections, we will expand product purchased and offered to our customers,” said Ross. “By having an office in South America, Pacific Seafood—Chile will be able to create more offerings for our customers as well as more opportunities for our vendors.”
