Poseidon Seafood of Charlotte, N.C., has hired Scott McDonald as director of retail, responsible for the seafood distributor's retail channel including regional chains throughout the United States.
McDonald has more than 20 years of seafood sales and marketing experience, including roles at Inland Seafood and M.F. Foley Fish Co.
In his new position, McDonald's first priority is to expand the company's fresh and frozen retail seafood programs. He will also help expand the company's value-added division, Bright Water Seafood, which manufactures and markets a full line of seafood dips, spreads, sauces and crab cakes.
