Russia, Norway discuss salmon import ban

Head of Russian Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert and Norway’s Ambassador Knut Hauge held a meeting to find the solution and lift the ban recently imposed on the imports of Norwegian chilled fish.

Through discussions of obstacles that pose a risk for the fish imports, Russia was suggested to inspect 25 fishery companies of Norway.

The talks were held at the residence of the Ambassador of Norway and were dedicated to discussing ways of resolving technical and organizational challenges in ensuring the safety of chilled fish exported from Norway into Russia and other countries of the Customs Union.
