Seafood Expo Asia returns to Singapore in September

Seafood Expo Asia, set to take place this year from 4 to 6 September, continues to build on the momentum it gained after its move to Singapore. 

The 2023 edition of Seafood Expo Asia saw the show grow 86 percent in size over 2022 – its first year in Singapore’s Sands Expo and Convention Centre after moving from Hong Kong – featuring 362 exhibiting companies from 41 countries. 

In 2024, companies from Australia, Canada, Chile, China, France, India, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam will participate in the event. Seafood Expo Asia will have new country participation from Azerbaijan, Denmark, Qatar, and Venezuela, as well as new national country pavilion participation from Japan and Morocco. 

The 12th edition of the expo will feature innovative products, seafood tastings, culinary demonstrations, engaging events, and educational conference sessions featuring sessions on industry trends, sustainability issues, and market dynamics, according to Diversified Communications, which operates Seafood Expo Asia, as well as Seafood Expo North America and Seafood Expo Global. “The success of last year’s expo in Singapore exemplifies the demand we’re seeing from global seafood supplier,s as well as processing equipment and services companies, to conduct business and build relationships in the Asian market,” Diversified Vice President of Seafood Wynter Courmont said. “This year’s expo will consist of several engaging events, features, and educational opportunities for attendees to learn about timely topics facing the seafood industry in Asia."

Seafood companies participating at this year’s event include AquaChile, Blumar, Caleta Bay, Contimax, Corporacion Lamar, Ferme Marine de Mahebourg, Gadre Marine Export, Godaco Seafood, Gumusdoga, Haspac Tuna, HQM SU URUNLERI SANAYI, Huitres Marennes D’Oleron, Nordic Kingfish, North Sea Seafood, Pacific Urchin Harvesters Association, Parcs Saint Kerber, Sincere Food Investment, Ulka Seafoods, Vinh Hoan Corporation, Zalmhuys Group and more. Processing companies include BAADER ASIA PTE. LTD., FrostiX, GB Bernucci, Guy Cotten SAS, Moon Environment Technology, Nantong Worldbase Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd., Square Technology Group Co. LTD. and more with new participation from Alpha Aqua A/S, Biolan Asia, D&D Electronics, GUNZE LIMITED, Nilkamal Limited, Plastic Film, and Jaw Feng Machinery.  

The expo provides a strategic platform for seafood suppliers from around the world and buyers from across Asia to meet face to face and source a diverse range of seafood, processing equipment, and services for the Asian market, Diversified said.

Attendees include seafood professionals and decision-makers from industries including airlines, cruise lines, distributors, caterers, hotels, importers, processors, restaurants, supermarkets, wholesalers, and more.
