Seafood industry leaders on the move - Vol. II

Ross Butler, CEO of Cooke Seafood USA and Wanchese Fish Co.◊ After spending five years at Cooke Aquaculture as senior VP and 30 years within the seafood industry altogether, Ross Butler is on his way over to the CEO seat for Cooke Seafood USA and Wanchese Fish Co.

A graduate of the Marine Institute and Memorial University in Newfoundland, Butler has made an art of rising through the ranks – he did so for Fishery Products International, eventually leaving the company in 2002 after achieving the title of VP for Atlantic operations. Moreover, he was a VP for groundfish operations at Ocean Choice International.

Butler will move with his family to Suffolk, Va., USA, to tackle his new duties as Cooke Seafood USA’s VP and to oversee the daily operations at the recently acquired Wanchese Fish Co, a renowned scallop supplier.
