Steve Phillips’ estate on market for $32m

Phillips Foods and Seafood Restaurants Inc. CEO Steve Phillips and his wife, Maxine, have listed their sprawling waterfront 23-acre Annapolis estate for $32 million.

The property, known as the Friary on the Severn, was formerly a Capuchin monastery and boasts an Asian tea house, 60-foot infinity edge pool, tennis court and six-slip private boat dock.

The main 26,000-square-foot Georgian home includes seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, 11 fireplaces, a commercial-size gourmet kitchen and 270-degree views of the Severn River.

A separate guest house includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

There’s also a church-size chapel, which can also be used for entertaining, said David DeSantis, who holds the listing for TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in Chevy Chase.

He believes the deal would be the “biggest residential sale in the mid-Atlantic” dating back at least 15 years.
