Three brothers have been arrested after one of their coworkers was found dead with stab wounds on a commercial fishing vessel in Louisiana.

The homicide occurred on 28 August at 10:30 p.m. local time aboard an unnamed vessel operating west of Venice, Louisiana, U.S.A.. Authorities were alerted, and upon boarding the vessel, they discovered a body with multiple stab wounds. The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office has not released details on the victim.

Days later, three siblings – Josiah Cottrell, 28, Timothy Cottrell, 25, and David Cottrell, 22, of Broussard, Louisiana, U.S.A. – were arrested and booked with second-degree murder, a Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office told local news outlet The Times-Picayune.

The sheriff’s office has not released further details about the homicide, which remains under investigation.
