Vietnamese pangasius exports to U.S. up 49%

In the first quarter of 2012, Vietnamese exports of pangasius reached USD 425 million, of which the United States was the biggest market with a share of USD 82 million, up 49.2 percent from the same time period last year.

Mexico and Spain were followed the United States, with USD 34 million and USD 24 million, respective.

However, Vietnam exported pangsius to only 117 markets, down from 125 markets in the first quarter of 2011.
