Young's Seafood takes successful brand to the freezer aisle

The Funky Fish Kitchen range from Young’s Seafood is welcoming some new frozen products to its ranks.

The brand, which is sold by Young’s through Asda, has had proven success in “attracting new consumers to try different fish,” said Marina Richardson, a marketing controller for the UK seafood processor, to just-food.com. According to Richardson, “the natural time” had come to expand the brand into the freezer aisle.

The new frozen line is set to include two fingers products – which will contain an average of eight fingers per package priced at EUR 2 (USD 3.03) – as well as two fishcake SKUs, similarly priced. Moreover, the range will offer three fillet lines with an RRSP priced at EUR 4; the fillets products come with two cod fillets as well as sweet potato and a Moroccan harissa sauce, noted just-food.com.

Young’s Seafood launched the chilled lines of the Funky Fish Kitchen range back in 2013.
