Acme expanding iconic fish-smoking plant in Brooklyn

Acme Smoked Fish Corp. is expanding its Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A. processing facility.

The expansion will around 15,000 square feet of office space and new production space to the company’s existing headquarters in New York City, according to the Wall Street Journal. When completed, the facility will measure around 80,000 square feet in total. 

With roots going back more than 100 years, Acme has established a reputation for high-quality smoked salmon and lox, which it produces in three U.S. locations

The new project will take place in phases, with the company continuing to operate out of its current facility through phase one. Work is expected to be completed by the end of 2021, Acme Co-CEO Adam Caslow told the Greenpoint Post.

Caslow said the company has been seeking to expand in the past several years.
