Although there is a slight decrease in average price per kilogram, export volumes in the first months of 2018 are impressive and Ecuador breaks record after record.
Compared to the first four months of 2017, exports from Ecuador in the same period in 2018 increased by 17 percent in value and 21 percent in volume. While in previous years export volumes in the first four months would be lower than in the four preceding months, this year we have seen a 20 percent net increase from 130,000 tonnes to 155,000 tonnes.
