– Nuuk, Greenland-based Royal Greenland AS hired Martin Bo Knudsen as the incoming sales manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Knudsen will be based in Svenstrup, Denmark working with Eastern European markets focusing on Poland and the Baltics, the Middle East and African markets, industrial sales in Germany, Sweden, and Denmark, and working on raw material for hand-peeled shrimp and brine businesses.
He has more than 15 years of seafood industry experience working at Nowaco AS.
“His extensive market knowledge, commercial expertise, and deep understanding of the seafood business will be a strong asset to our organization,” Royal Greenland Sales Director Søren Eschen said. “Martin's broad experience across these markets and product categories will strengthen our commercial capabilities and support our ambitions for future growth. We are excited to have such a respected seafood professional join the Royal Greenland team and look forward to the journey ahead.”
– The British Columbia Seafood Alliance (BCSA) hired Brenda McCorquodale as the incoming executive director in May. She’s worked at Canada’s Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) for the over 23 years in both managerial and director roles. Most recently, she was the senior director of aquaculture management for 3 years and 10 months.
She also worked as executive director of First Nations Fisheries Council of British Columbia for 3 years.
“After retiring from Fisheries and Oceans Canada last year I am excited to announce that I have moved into consulting and have accepted an appointment as the new executive director of the British Columbia Seafood Alliance,” McCorquodale wrote on LinkedIn. “I look forward to collaborating with B.C.’s wild seafood harvesters and processors in this next chapter of my career.”
– Washington, D.C., U.S. importer Circle Foods hired Kevin Seely as the new national sales director.
Seely announced the move on LinkedIn, after leaving his role as vice president of CPG Sales at Luke’s Lobster in Portland, Maine, where he spent the last year and a half. Prior to that, he was the vice president of sales and seafood commodities at Choice Canning Company for 2 and a half years. He’s also worked as national sales manager and vice president of sales for Eastern Fish Company.
