Saucy Fish lands in US retailers ahead of SENA17

The Saucy Fish Co. recently added two new United States supermarket chains to its growing list of U.S. retailers that carry its ready-to-eat seafood line.

Saucy Fish will also be exhibiting at the 2017 Seafood Expo North America in Boston, Massachusetts, 19 to 21 March.

In April, Scarborough, Maine-based Hannaford and Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based Mariano’s will start carrying three ready-to-eat Saucy Fish portioned salmon fillets with sauces: Smoked & Roasted Salmon with Sticky Maple Sauce, Sweet Chili Roasted Salmon with Tomato & Chili Chutney, and Steamed Salmon with Lime & Cilantro.

“Both Hannaford and Mariano’s are a great fit for the Saucy brand and values. We’re thrilled to have secured listings with such well respected retailers in the U.S. and look forward to another successful year of international expansion,” said Paul Macis, Saucy’s international and business development manager, in a statement.

“This is in direct response to the rise of single-person meal occasions and health-conscious consumers wanting to customize their meals,” Saucy Fish said in the statement.

Roundy’s-owned Mariano’s will feature the new products across all 40 of its upscale stores in the Chicago area, while Hannaford will include them in 170 stores across the Northeast U.S.

In 2015, Saucy Fish began selling its ready-to-eat products in Whole Foods Market stores in the U.S., and then later added distribution in Publix Super Markets.
