Alaskan Leader won the grand prize – along with winning the Retail division – for its Premium Wild Caught Alaskan Cod with Lemon Herb Butter. Alaskan Leader also won in the Beyond the Plate division for its Cod Crunchies Pet Treats.

“I attribute these wins to our entire company. No one person could have accomplished this alone. We evolved, because we did it as a team. Quality starts with our fishermen at the rail of our boats,” said Keith Singleton, president of the value-added division at Alaskan Leader.

The winners were previously announced 17 November at Pacific Marine Expo in Seattle, Washington.

The first-place winners from each category and the Grand Prize winner will receive booth space at Seafood Expo North America, as well as airfare to and from the show provided by Alaska Air Cargo.

New this year, the winners will also be entered into the Seafood Excellence Awards, which will provide Alaska’s winners with additional international recognition, according to the Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation.
