One Simple Question

Is tuna one of the top ten most dangerous foods?

I think a rather strong case can be made for—NO. I think a rather strong case can be and has been made that tuna does not belong on a list alongside 8 foods that can apparently be deadly—including one that contains a toxin “1,200 times deadlier than cyanide” and one whose poison “can lead to coma or death.”

So why, after two separate sets of editorial revisions that have decimated the original reporting on this topic and relegated the piece to a three sentence mention, does Time.com not just take tuna off the list?

Pride-- dare I say hubris perhaps?

In this case, I’m really not sure. But I think our latest letter to the folks at Time, illustrates how the problems with its reporting have gone from being alarmist and incomplete to commercial disparagement.
