Sweetfin Poké is a fast-growing chain that started in 2015 out of its original location in Santa Monica. Its menu offers nine signature poke bowls and a create-your-own poke bar. Co-owner Seth Cohen said Sweetfin aims for the unexpected.

“We try to be as untraditional as possible in our offerings,” he said. “We want you to think that you’ll never find what we serve anywhere else.”

Sweetfin’s avo-coco albacore poke matches that description. The avo-coco sauce is made with a mixture of sriracha sauce mixed with basil and cilantro, as well as serrano and jalapeño peppers, and then fermented for 20 days. When it’s about to be served, it’s blended with coconut milk and fresh avocado then drizzled over albacore tuna and topped with diced pineapple and mint and served over rice. A large bowl, with four ounces of tuna, goes for USD 13.95 (EUR 12.78) and a small goes for USD 9.95 (EUR 9.12).
