Representatives from Glud & Marstrand will present the company’s new product range, which features a newly designed can for seafood processors, at this year’s Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global event.
The can in question allows for easier and more reliable seaming and increased processing speed in seafood production, said the company. The Danish manufacturer delivers the aluminum Hansa can with precurled sides and radii on lid, to ensure that seafood processors receive a faster and stronger option for seaming products.
“Because this eliminates the need for pre-curling in the seaming process, the seaming is handled in one step, increasing the process speed and lowering cost. At the same time, it gives a safer product, which is a key consideration in the market,” said Mikkel Nørgaard Dall, VP Sales, Processed Food, in a prepared statement.
The Hansa Can comes in two sizes: 170 ml and a 198 ml. The company conceived of the can in response to market demand.
“Now Glud & Marstrand is the only manufacturer that offers an aluminium seafood packaging range, consisting of Club, Dingley and Hansa, all conical, with a fully curled easy open lid solution,” said Nørgaard Dall.
Glud & Marstrand will be exhibiting at SEG in Hall 4, stand 6015.
