Brussels 2017: Your official guide to Seafood Expo Global

As April comes to a close, many seafood professionals are finding themselves in a familiar place – Brussels, Belgium, for the 2017 Seafood Expo Global / Seafood Processing Global event. SeafoodSource, the official media source for SEG17, is right there with the industry’s global business core, delivering the latest expo news coverage live from the showfloor.

The event – organized by Diversified Communications – is in its 25th year, with 1,856 total exhibitors from 79 countries occupying 38,353 square meters of exhibit space in 2017. Seventy-three national and regional pavilions occupy the considerable expanse of the Brussels Expo this year, both familiar and fresh to the floor. Some of the new national and regional pavilions include Latvia, Myanmar, Poland and Venezuela. New country participation includes Costa Rica, Cyprus, Mynamar, Romania and Venezuela.

As the official media outlet for Seafood Expo Global and Seafood Processing Global – a distinction no other news site can claim – SeafoodSource plans to provide 360-degree coverage before, during and after the show. This includes routine updates on our social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as in our newsletters and on SeafoodSouce.com.

Expect the first of three special Expo Today newsletters to arrive in your inbox on 25 April – all attendees and exhibitors registered for SEG17 will receive these custom e-newsletters with up-to-the-minute show coverage. If you’re looking to share your news with the entire SEG audience, make sure to stop by the SeafoodSource booth (No. 9-4215 and 9-4015), ping us on social media or flag down an editor on the showfloor.

Our team will be providing live updates throughout SEG17 – follow and tweet at us on Twitter @SeafoodSource. Don’t forget to tag all of your tweets with the official #SEG17 hashtag so we can see you and retweet your expo news. Our Twitter feed will include coverage of this year’s Seafood Excellence Global awards, to be held this evening at 6:15 p.m. Brussels time, so be sure to check back in with us for the latest on the finalists and winners if you can’t attend the gala.
