East Coast Seafood operates processing facilities in Maine and Massachusetts, and is believed to be the largest exporter of lobster in North America. In 2012, the company expanded its offerings through the purchase of scallop supplier Seatrade International, and with a joint venture with another live lobster supplier, Garbo Lobster. Its vertically integrated operations now span across North America and its distribution channels reach more than 40 countries. The company also announced plans to enter the Chinese market via its Maine Fair Trade brand and processing plant in Prospect Harbor, Maine.
