AgriMarine wins clean technology award

AgriMarine Holdings on Tuesday announced that it was named this year’s top ranked Clean Technology Company on the TSX (Toronto Stock Exchange) Venture 50.

TSX Venture Exchange’s annual list of top 50 emerging companies are ranked in five industry sectors, including clean technology. Companies are selected based on four criteria: return on investment, trading activity, analyst coverage and market capitalization growth.

The Vancouver, British Columbia-based aquaculture technology company, which manufactures solid-wall, closed containment systems, will join the TSX Venture 50 and members of the investment community in an event at the TMX Broadcast Center in Toronto on 31 March. AgriMarine will have the opportunity to present to an audience comprised of portfolio managers, investment bankers, research analysts and investment advisors.

“We congratulate AgriMarine Holdings on being named top company in the Clean Technology section of this year’s TSX Venture 50,” said John McCoach, president of TSX Venture Exchange. “This program is designed to recognize TSX Venture’s strongest performers and is comprised of emerging companies that have been identified as leaders in Canada’s public venture market. We wish the 2011 TSX Venture 50 continued success.”

Last week, AgriMarine announced that it agreed to acquire Middle Bay Properties from Theanon Charitable Foundation for CAD 1.25 million.
