Barramundi producer Australis Aquaculture of Turners Falls, Mass., late last week announced that it appointed Jim Buffy as VP of sales.
Buffy has more than 30 years of experience in the seafood industry, most recently as VP of sales and marketing for Regal Springs Trading, a Bradenton, Fla.-based tilapia importer.
Prior to that, Buffy was the senior VP of sales and marketing for Tampa Maid Foods in Lakeland, Fla., and VP of customer development for Rich-SeaPak Corp. in Brunswick, Ga. He has also held various sales and marketing positions with VDK Frozen Foods, Pillsbury, Pet Inc. and Kraft.
