Faroese salmon producer Bakkafrost Group harvested 13,000 metric tons (MT) of gutted weight fish in the second-quarter of this year, down from 14,182 MT in the corresponding period of 2015.
The contribution to the total from the company’s farming operations in the north of the Faroes amounted to 8,900 MT, while its farms in the west supplied 4,100 MT.
Harvested volumes from its newly acquired P/F Faroe Farming business are not included in the Q2 2016 trading update but will be incorporated into the figures for Q3.
Bakkafrost also sold 16,300 MT of feed in the last quarter.
